Services

Bio-era provides a variety of services to help network members and retainer clients better understand and interpret the bio economic future.

Research and Advisory Membership
bio-era™ provides independent research and analysis to members of the bio-era network. Network membership is available as an annual subscription or as part of a monthly or annual retainer service.

Retainer service enrollment combines access to bio-era research and staff through membership in the bio-era network, with participation in our teleconferences, roundtables, and conferences, and in-depth consulting services from our staff and associates focused on areas of particular client interest.

Customized retainer services are available in three areas:

  • Biofuels
  • Biosecurity
  • Biotechnology

Clients enroll in one or more service area, as they see fit. Service pricing is the same for each area, and enrollment in multiple service areas reduces the cost per service. Please call for pricing information.

Custom Consulting
Bio-era also undertakes custom project consulting assignments on behalf of clients enrolled in the bio-era
Research and Advisory service. Recent assignments have included:

  • a bio-fuels strategy for a major global agribusiness player
  • evaluation of a trangenic trait on behalf of a major agbiotech company
  • analysis of U.S. versus European biotechnology policies

Scenario Planning Facilitation
Bio-era also has special expertise and experience in facilitating both corporate and multi-stakeholder scenario development and planning efforts. Both Steve Aldrich and James Newcomb learned scenario techniques from Ted Newland, who with his colleague, Pierre Wack, pioneered formal scenario planning methodologies when he was with Group Planning at the Royal Dutch Shell Company.
